Sharon and Nigel have created something truly special here to make your stay in Cornwall a deeply memorable experience.

Nigel, Sharon and Charlie with the considerable help of Nigel’s mum Sue, bought Pendragon Country House in April 2008. The family was complete with the arrival of Hannah in December 2009.  The house had previously operated as a B&B, but when we took over Pendragon House, it was a residential property.

Both Sharon and Nigel have years of experience in the travel and tourism industry and between them have travelled to well over fifty countries.  

Whilst in New Zealand, Nigel worked as the duty manger of the Hippo Lodge Guest House in Queenstown.  He also held the post of Senior Sales Consultant at ‘Trailfinders’ Travel Agency, Manchester, UK.  Outside of these positions, Nigel has amassed a valuable array of relevant work experience and skills; including registered first aid qualification, bar management, sous chef experience, kitchen assistant experience, and a keen interest and passion for cookery and hospitality.

In the meantime, Sharon clocked up plenty of air miles as a Senior Air Stewardess. This is where she developed her excellent people skills and very high quality customer care.  Sharon also held the post of Senior Business Class and Executive Travel Sales Consultant at ‘Trailfinders’ Travel Agency. 

This is where Sharon and Nigel met, and realised they shared the dream of owning a caring family business providing a wonderful holiday experience for others.

Between them, they have stayed in all sorts of holiday accommodation from a mud hut in western Africa to the world’s first 7 star Hotel in Dubai.  They knew deep down that they could create a first class accommodation business, while making the most of family life and really enjoying the lifestyle too. 

Nigel & Sharon have learnt a lot from travelling the world and staying in all sorts of different types of accommodation, but of course, they will always be learning.
